I know what you mean. A countdown really isn't necessary, because I highly doubt the score is going to be unexpected in any way.
10/10 in a game review doesn't mean the game is perfect. It means that the game is one of the best of its genre, if not the best.

Given the overwhelmingly positive previews that Eurogamer has posted with regards to Gears of War 2, they are sure to give the game at least a 9/10.
In fact, I'm rather sure Eurogamer is going to give Gears of War 2 10/10, which is obviously a great achievement.

There's no doubt that Gears of War deserves the hype. Such an awesome franchise - one that will only get better.
It's a shame that Pandemic doesn't release more Conquest-related media to the public. It has the makings to be a real hit this fall.
It does seem like it was taken out of context. All Epic was saying was that the new difficulty level, improved tutorial and addition of a decent story makes it accessible for more casual gamers.

Ted is a great developer, and it's good of him to acknowledge other great upcoming games. Perhaps gamers, or 'fanboys' rather, could take note of this.
Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 are both great games and neither, in my opinion, deserves to be constantly bashed because of the console they are being released on.
I think certain people could learn something from this.

Just give it a rest. The 360 has games coming out that are just as good as anything the PS3 has to offer. Why are people so concerned with other consoles? Just enjoy what you have.

I think so. I mean, what's the aim of a price cut? To increase sales. They've achieved that, and fair play to them.
Someone asked above if they have peeked too early - I wouldn't say so. It simply puts them in a very good position for the holiday season.
